We are in the process of purchasing a new house (bigger studio) and getting our present house on the market. Today's post marks my 183 (half way) post of meeting my goal of a painting a day for 2007.
As most of you can see I've jumped around a bit with my subject matter...some portraits, still lifes, figure drawings and the landscapes. I've also used a variety of mediums...oil, pastel, and charcoal and have really enjoyed all three. For the last week or so I've been posting some pieces that were initially started on location and finished up in the studio on the day of the posting. The last few landscapes have been from Watson Lake just outside of LaPorte, Colorado.....it's a beautiful area with a variety of scenes to paint. Here soon, I will probably start picking some areas closer to Cheyenne for my subject matter.
