I thought it would be interesting to have an exhibit of daily paintings representing a year's worth of work. After sharing this with Harvey at Deselms Fine Arts gallery in Cheyenne, he offered to host the show on December 31, 2007. The image size of the art work will be approximately 5" x 7" and all paintings will be priced at $120 if purchased before the show. Paintings purchased at the time of the exhibit will be $150. Prints of all purchased art work will be on display at the December show.

For its small size, this painting packs quite a punch. The ruffled feathers at the back of the head and the violet hues in the black playing off the ochre near the beak denote a sense of foreboding, perhaps a coming storm. As the namesake of my hometown football team, The Baltimore Ravens, it has special meaning. Well done!; 3:56 AM

Mike’s work has won several awards in pastel and watercolor in both regional and national exhibits since 1971 and his work hangs in private collections around the world. He has been in the Pastel Journal's Top 100 for 2005 and just recently selected for 2007 for his portrait and figurative work. Mike is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Society of Colorado; he is also a member of the Pastel Society of the Northern Rockies. Mike is represented by Deselms Fine Art in Cheyenne, Wyoming,and The Link Gallery in Estes Park, Colorado.
